Baby things...

One thing that I love about waiting to find out the gender of our baby is that we had a gender neutral baby shower, so we didn't receive a whole lot of baby clothing. (Which meant that we actually received a lot of things that we needed off our registry, which was definitely appreciated.) Growing up, my mom always taught me to be frugal when it came to clothing. I hardly ever owned something that was brand new, and I was ok with that. Especially with baby clothing, I really feel uncomfortable buying new clothing unless it is for a special occasion or holiday.

I've been scouring the local Goodwills for baby clothing, pretty much buying anything that is cute, regardless of what gender or size it is. I figure, at $1 per piece, I can always store the stuff that we don't use and save it for my sister in law Sarah for when she starts having babies.

We finally picked out our newborn photographer, Kelly Reinholz. I've been scouring the internet for ideas of what we can do with our newborn photo shoot, which has been booked for Sunday, March 4. Since we are doing an owl theme in our nursery, I found this really cute owl diaper cover and hat on Etsy:



And I know it's a little crazy, but I also bought this cute ruffle diaper cover and newborn flower headband (in case it's a girl) from Etsy. Even if we don't end up using it (if we end up having a Michael instead of a Grace) I will hold onto it for either a future baby girl Whelehon or future baby girl Hennessey. :)
