FINALLY FIGURED OUT OUR NURSERY!

Drew and I went to Babys R Us and Target on Friday to start our registry. I know what you are thinking..."she's only 18 weeks pregnant!" but we both had a less than pleasant experience registering for our wedding and wanted to tackle our baby registry in small, manageable chunks so we wouldn't get overwhelmed.

We stopped off at Babys R Us first and decided we would just focus on big items, such as a crib, stroller, changing table, dresser, car seat, etc. We weren't really impressed with the patterns for the strollers and car seats, so we moved on to the furniture. We were looking for espresso finish furniture because we already have an espresso finish bookshelf in the room that we are planning on keeping there with bins and baby books. We found a very affordable crib set by Graco, called "Lauren."

After feeling a little overwhelmed in BRU, we decided to head over to Target and instantly fell in love with a Graco Snug Ride stroller and car seat combo in a print called "Meadow Menagerie."

I instantly fell in love with the owls and colors of the print- because it was still gender neutral and gave off a happy vibe.

We had originally wanted to go with a light grey, light yellow and white nursery but as I started looking for crib bedding, I was very frustrated with the complete lack of bedding in this color scheme. I decided that I was just going to suck it up and custom make the bedding by purchasing the fabric from spoonflower and having someone sew it for me. I found this cute print with grey and white owls:

But the fabric was ridiculously expensive. I bookmarked it in case I found something else and just decided to do an Etsy search for "Owl nursery" and instantly stumbled across this CUTE mobile:

Which led me to the bedding set, which is nothing like the color scheme we picked out, but I am still in love with it!

Is there a way to create a registry on Etsy?

(Did I mention how excited I am that this is all coming together?! I am so excited for Baby Whelehon to get here!)
